TRANSATLANTIC CHAMBER PROJECT

Austrian pianist Stephanie Hoernes enjoys a versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician, collaborative pianist, and orchestral performer. She has appeared in concert throughout Europe and the United States and maintains a close artistic partnership with American violist Jason Bonham, with whom she recorded the CD Mythic and regularly performs. Stephanie serves on the piano faculty at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre and is a longtime vocal coach at Berlin's Hanns Eisler School of Music.

Jason Bonham is Principal Violist of the Las Vegas Philharmonic and performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States and Europe. He has also appeared with leading American orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. Together with Berlin-based pianist Stephanie Hoernes, he recorded the CD Mythic. Alongside his musical career, he is a Research Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research.

Cellist Andrew Smith is Professor of Music at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Principal Cellist of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, and Artistic Director of the UNLV Chamber Music Society. An internationally active chamber musician, he has performed throughout Europe, North and South America, Asia, and New Zealand, including appearances at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. His recordings include the critically acclaimed album Spanish Music for Cello and Piano.

German bass Tye Maurice Thomas combines a rich, powerful voice with exceptional dramatic versatility. He has appeared at the Komische Oper Berlin, Theater Münster, and as a principal ensemble member of Theater Vorpommern. His concert repertoire ranges from the great oratorios to Schubert's Winterreise. Alongside his performing career, he recently completed a Master's degree in Musicology at Humboldt University Berlin and is preparing the first critical complete edition of the motets of Johann Melchior Gletle.
