The pianist Elisaveta Blumina, artistic director of the Hamburg Chamber Music Festival and the “Berliner Endeckungen” association, has been regarded as an outstanding representative of an entire generation of pianists, and not just since she was awarded the Klassik Echo Prize.
She is a welcome guest as a soloist and chamber musician on the world's most prestigious stages (Carnegie Hall in New York, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Berlin Philharmonie and Konzerthaus, St. Petersburg Philharmonie, Gasteig in Munich, etc.), plays regularly with many well-known orchestras and has released no less than 36 CDs in her career.
Elisaveta Blumina is a multi-talented artist. As a child, she aspired to a career as a prima ballerina, but learned to play the piano and paint at the same time. At the age of 12, she was accepted to the art school of the Hermitage Museum, where she studied art history for five years. Since childhood, Elisaveta Blumina has associated tones and sounds with colors. When making music, she therefore always has colors in mind, and she experiences tonal harmonies or dissonances as colors...
