from Chopin to Gershwin

Vincenzo Delli Noci

Vincenzo Delli Noci impresses with his unmistakable musicality and profound interpretations, combining rare and well-known piano repertoire at the highest level.

Born and trained in Italy, he perfected his art with renowned masters and won important competitions that made his name known beyond the country's borders.
He has long been in demand as a soloist on international stages - from London to Paris, Amsterdam, Prague and Vienna.

His programs are characterized by a clever balance between technically demanding brilliance and sensitive emotionality. With his passion for discovering unusual works, he constantly opens up new listening perspectives for audiences and thus enriches the concert landscape.

program:

Frédéric Chopin: Ballads No. 1-4 (op.23,38,47,52)
Chopin composed his four ballads between 1835 and 1842 in Paris. Inspired by Polish literature and the Romantic ballad tradition, they combine narrative freedom with deep expression. The works reflect Chopin's personal maturity and his break with classical forms - today they are among the highlights of Romantic piano music.

Maurice Ravel: La valse
Ravel's famous orchestral work was originally commissioned for a ballet with the theme “Vienna and its waltzes”. Ravel adds French Impressionism to the typical Vienna. The piano version was created by Ravel himself in 1920.

George Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue
A huge success for 100 years: the audience was already enthusiastic at the premiere in 1924. Gershwin's most famous work quickly became a standard in countless instrumentations. The very definition of jazz meets classical music!
