„Magician of the Keys and Devilish Violinist“
(Donaukurier)

Matthias Well: He began his musical education at the age of 5.
Master classes with star violinist Julia Fischer and James Ehnes. Great media response for his debut album Funeralissimo (e.g. “CD of the week” at RBB). Concerts on several continents, including as a soloist with members of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
Why Jazzissimo? “Jazz has always fascinated me. For me, it is something totally unbound, lively and also very creative. In contrast to classical music, you can let off steam incredibly freely.”

Why Jazzissimo? “We listened to a lot of jazz at home. That's how my love of jazz developed and with it a great sense of freedom.”
She has been a university teacher for over 10 years and also gives master classes throughout Europe.
