DUO EVOCACIONES Martina Biondi (cello)
Pietro Locatto (guitar)
DUO EVOCACIONES
The DUO EVOCACIONES has dedicated itself entirely to Spanish music of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The great composers of Spanish Impressionism such as Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz and Gaspar Cassadó provide the spirit and soundscapes that Martina Bondi and Pietro Locatto recall with their program (“evocare” = to recall).
Martina Biondi is one of Italy's most promising young cellists. She graduated with top honors from the Stanislao Giacomantonio Conservatory at the age of 17 before completing her studies in Leipzig and most recently at the HfM Eisler with Nicolas Altstaedt. Prizes at international competitions led her to a guest appearance with Daniel Hope in the Hope@home TV program on “Arte” in 2020.
Pietro Locatto "is unanimously considered one of the most interesting and promising Italian musicians of his generation. His otherworldly interpretative skills quickly launched him in the empyreal sky of the very few Italian guitarists of international relevance”.
